Representatives from Cilio Technologies recently attended the National Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas. In addition to presenting Cilio’s current suite of technology products, the Cilio team had attendees complete a survey about which data and communication programs they currently use and what types of programs would help them run their businesses more effectively.
The Cilio KBIS Survey
With an eye toward developing new technologies that would be most useful to building & manufacturing companies, Cilio found some interesting commonalities among many of the building professionals who took the survey. The results showed a widening gap between the systems these businesses currently use and the systems they actually need to operate efficiently. Two basic themes recurred consistently among the builders, distributors and manufacturers surveyed:
1. They want to gain visibility and easier access to their sales channels.
2. They are not currently using a web-based Portal for organizing data and communication (in fact, a surprising number of businesses are still using paper-based systems).
Many of the survey respondents were surprised to find out that there are simple solutions to their most basic needs. They were excited to hear about the power, efficiency and flexibility a good Portal can bring to a business of any size or complexity. The ability to move easily from paper-based or multi-computer systems is essential to gaining efficiency for any business. Cilio can help centralize data from diverse sources and make it accessible to everyone who needs to see it. Our respondents were also wowed by the idea of having one easy-access communication and document distribution system accessible to both employees and trading partners.
Judging by the number of businesses ready to jump on board with Cilio technologies, the message seems clear, members of the building and manufacturing industry are quickly realizing the importance of deploying Portals to help their businesses more efficient and more profitable.
Each person who took the Cilio survey at KBIS was entered in a drawing to win one of two iPad Mini tablets. The drawing was held on February 19 and the winners were notified immediately. Cilio is pleased to announce that the KBIS Survey winners for 2014 are:
Carrie Cavins of Cavins Kitchen Village.
Casey Scamara of Native Trails, Inc.
Congratulations to Carrie and Casey!
